Eating highly addictive or highly processed foods loaded with salt, sugar, and fats can cause your sugar level to spike. This action will release more cortisol hormone making you feel more stressed and anxious. Your meals should contain vegetables, fruits, whole grains and protein.

Talk to others if things are bothering you, talking about things can help lower your stress. Talk to people you trust about your worries and concerns, share your problems and how you are feeling. 

You can talk to a family member, friends, your doctor or therapist, a pastor or clergyman. You can also connect with your community or faith-based organization. 

Eliminate your triggers

Identify what are the biggest causes of stress in your life. Is it your job, school work, or relationship? Identifying these factors can help eliminate them completely or at least reduce them.
