April 2018 update
Now that our athletes have been chosen, the hard work has begun!
Sunmaya, Chhechi, Rashila and Chhoki all took part in Trail Running Nepal’s Stupa to Stupa 54 km trail race on 24th March. Not only did they sweep the board in the women’s category, claiming the top 4 places, but Sunmaya won the event outright with a storming time of 5:36:29. Click here for an event write-up.
Humi didn’t race Stupa to Stupa, but she certainly hasn’t been slacking off – she won the duathlon at the Wild Warrior Himalayan Rush Triathlon in Pokhara on 31st March.
It’s not just about the running. The athletes are all now settled in Kathmandu, and have begun taking English language classes. With your help, we hope to continue supporting them for the next 12 months – please click here to see how you can contribute.
Meanwhile, we are extremely proud that Chhechi has been chosen to represent Nepal at the Trail Running World Championships in Spain this May! Click here to help Team Nepal achieve their goals.
